Take Time Today

As a business owner, we are used to doing a lot of different things. Proverbially, we wear A LOT of different hats.  While taking the trash out at the office this morning, I walked through the nicely landscaped grounds on my journey to the garbage bin. I was deep in my train of thoughts about Restricted Stock Units (something we help advise clients on).  Then a scent hit me.  It smelled like spring!

After dropping the trash, I decided to retrace my steps and go back to the tree that conjured up that sense of spring.  I smelled the budding flowers and took a picture.  It was a moment of realization that there is a world around us operating at its own pace.   Spring doesn’t care when there is green or red on the stock ticker screen.  Spring is busy doing its own thing and let’s be honest…it’s amazing!

There is no hidden message here.  It’s simple.   Take time to stop.  Smell spring. Think outside of yourself and your own thoughts.  Smell some flowers today, because it doesn’t always smell this good!!!
